China’s import and export growth in the January-April period was the highest since 2011

China’s import and export grew by 28.5%, 33.8% and 22.7% year on year in the first four months of 2021, respectively, a person in charge of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce said on the operation of China’s foreign trade from January to April 2021. The growth rate of import and export was the highest since 2011. Compared with the same period in 2019, imports and exports increased by 21.8 percent, exports by 24.8 percent and imports by 18.4 percent. Imports and exports in April were 3.15 trillion yuan, the second highest monthly figure on record.
